I am looking for a software product that was reviewed by Roger Chang of the TechTV show..."Call For Help". I think it was on the Thurs or Fri before Labor Day. It was some kind of camera control software. It allowed someone to use their camera in time lapse mode. Also, it would activate your camera if someone moved into the field of view of the camera and then stop the camera again after the activity stopped similar to a surveillance camera. I have searched the archives of the show and emailed all persons related to the show, with no success. Please help...thank you... |

Hello. On August 30th, the Friday before Labor Day, TechTV actually showed a rerun of a show that had been previously broadcast on August 6th. According to TechTV's web site, on the August 6th episode, "Chris Pirillo and Roger Chang show you how to use a netcam to create a powerful home surveillance system." As indicated on the web page, this episode "last aired on Friday 8/30." For complete details of the episode, visit TechTV's web site: http://www.techtv.com/callforhelp/howto/story/0,24330,2437442,00.html Apparently, Chris and Roger actually reviewed three different camera software packages: Homewatcher, Eyes & Ears, and Gotcha! Your description about the movement detection feature sounds a lot like "Homewatcher": http://www.homewatcher.com/products.htm Eyes & Ears by Intech: http://www.intech2.com/intech2.html Gotcha: http://www.gotchanow.com/text/g30f.html search strategy: "techtv", "Call for help", camera, software, motion I hope this helps. |
