I need marketing information for several developer communities. We
have a product that accesses multiple data sources using XML and web
services. I need to know the following information on each market:

What is the size of the market? Please include your sources.
What is the best way to advertise our product to developers (I am
particularly interested in the best web sites and magazines - Please
include # of viewers/subscribers).

I am interested in the following markets:

ColdFusion MX - Our product integrates directly with ColdFusion.
.Net - Our product integrates with .NET through it's support of
diffgrams.
SOAP web service developers (I would like to see this category broken
down by developers that work with systems that support SOAP such as
BEA WebLogic and IBM Websphere).
XML developers (I would like to see this category broken down by XML
developers in general, XML developers that work directly with XML
systems that support XUpdate such as Xindice and XML developers that
work with XML frameworks such as Cocoon.
SQL Server - Our product integrates directly with SQL Server.
Oracle - Our product integrates directly with Oracle.
Java developers that use technologies specific to the Web such as JSP,
Servlets, etc.
ASP developers.

Hi gubbayp,

I have almost finished answering your second question about
advertising.

But, for your first question regarding the market sizes...what
market are you looking for? Developer market, or buyer market?

Hi,

I am looking for the number of developers in these markets. They are
the people that we would be selling our product to. These numbers
will be used to build our financial projections and are the most
important piece of the question.

Thank you.
