loaded quickly. I use a dial-up modem and IE 5.0.
I'm so happy you asked for another opinion because I had just visited
your initial question and you web site before I saw this question come
up! I like the site very much and here are the answers to your
specific questions:
#1 - Understanding
I had no trouble understanding what the site is about or how to
navigate it by the main page links. I like that you've kept the text
and links simple and easy to follow. I also took the liberty of making
an account to see how quickly the program worked. I am delighted to
report that the process was lightning fast.
#2 - The Logo Guy
I happen to love this type of design so I find the Logo Guy to be very
pleasing. He reminds me of old comic books from the 50s and 60s and
his expression is one I interpret as "Hey, check me out! If I won this
contest so can you!" I think you've chosen a great expression for him
and he aslo sparks of a bit of early anime design.
#3 - The look and feel of the site
The site has a comic book flavor that I find very appealing and I
really like the colors you chose. I also have a fondness for the
"superman" look of the letter perspective becuase it conveys motion
and the softness of the rounded letters denotes a certain ease. To
me, the feel of the site is "exciting fun" and I will actually return
later and check out the games and the create-a-game program. You've
kept the main page simple and I appreciate the fact you have no moving
graphics (additionally, the logo guy graphics conveys movement even
though it is a still graphic).
#4 - Quick suggestions
I would like to see the four choices under the "com" of the heading
(Play A Game, Make A Game, Message Board and Logon) be in a slightly
smaller font size, bolded or italicized, and centered somehow with one
another to make them stand out a bit more. If you are looking for
more members, place "Logon" first or second to better catch the eye
and consider other phrases for "Logon" such as "My Account" or
"Join/Login" or even reconsider the heading names to something more
concise like "Play, Create, Logon, Chat" I'm not sure what would work
for you but I would like to see that section centered and a little
different from the rest of the page text.
