Hi there,

In Missouri, springs beginning with L:

Little Creek Spring
Lee Spring
Lenox Spring
Little Spring
Leeper Spring

and R:

Radium Spring
Roaring River Spring
Roaring Spring
Rockhouse Spring
Rollins Spring
Romine Springs
Ruebottom Spring
Reno Spring
Richart Spring
Rise and Fall Spring
Rock Spring
Roaring Spring
Ray Spring
Rattlesnake Spring
Rockhouse Spring

In Iowa, there are no springs beginning with L or R. Unfortunately
nothing stands out as the match you are looking for.

Search Strategy:

I went directly to the U.S. Geological Survey Search Engine
http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form

The drop-down box allows you to search for particular fetaures, such
as springs. Their database contains 2 million features.

Best wishes,
