Hello,

The title of the chapter in the liner notes of the DVD list Chapter 21
as "Homework" when the Space Monkeys go on their quests to fail at a
fight. The weird accordian sounding music accompanied by the "lalala"
and what sounds like "chilli-bong" make for a quite humorous song.
From the score and soundtrack of the movie you'd expect the name of
the song you are looking for to be "Homework" as well, but on the
soundtrack this is a totally differnet song all together. Instead, the
melody and funny instruments are found mixed into track 14 entitled
"Space Monkeys". It starts off at the 40 second mark, and progresses
into the accordian melody around 1:10. Absent is the chanting of
"lalala" and "chilli-bong" but the song's there. Hope I could answer
your question.

Search Strategy:

finding someone in my dorm with the DVD at 1am, and then finding
someone with the soundtrack at 1:45am heh

skermit-ga,
Hey, thanks for working on that answer so late. It's been driving me
crazy. Do you know of any source that has the "lalala" and
"chilli-bong" in it (cause that's what makes the song so funny) ? I'm
not sure if you want to answer this second question, but do you now
maybe how I could take out Edward Norton's voice and the other
non-song sounds on that chapter (hope that makes sense) ? Thanks a
lot,

Hmmm... there are voice cancelation filters that you might try, but
they would remove the "lalala" and "chilli-bong"'s too. I don't know
why they didn't put this track as-is in the soundtrack, instead of
going for a redone score type feel. I don't know off the top of my
head where I can find the movie version of this track, but I'll keep
looking.
