My Windows 2000 TCP/IP settings cannot be reached from Network and dial-up connections tab, because the icon for the Local Area Connection has disappeared. The Internet connection is working fine though, no problem at all, but if I want to access the TCP/IP properties, how can I do that without going through the icon in the "Network and dial-up connections" tab? |

This problem is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q269019. You can read about the problem, and how to fix it, here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;269019 If you are unable to follow the instructions, or if this does not solve the problem, please let me know. To answer this question, I searched for "network connections" LAN icon at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx I do hope that this solves your problem. sa-ga | |
