Hi sneakage-ga,

Using Microsoft Word 2000, headers and footers are actually defined
for each section of a document (ie. all pages within the same section
will have the same header and footer if they have been defined).

In your case, you can achieve a single page header and footer by doing
the following (for each group of page(s) that requires the same header
and footer:

1. Place your cursor immediately before the page you wish to define
the header and footer properties.
2. Go to Insert > Break
3. Select the "Next Page" Section Break
4. Move your cursor immediately after the page you wish to define the
header and footer properties.
5. Go to Insert > Break
6. Select the "Next Page" Section Break

What this procedure effectively does is define three sections in the
document:
1. Beginning to section break 1
2. Section break 1 to section break 2
3. Section break 2 to end of document

Of course, you can extend this concept to individually define numerous
pages individually. It may also be worth noting that you can see where
you have placed section break in your document by going to View >
Normal.

Hope that helps :)
