Hello, snathan. The Bechler River in Yellowstone National Park currently has one footbridge, near campsite 9B1. The bridge crosses the Southern half of Bechler Meadows and spans Boundary Creek. Another bridge, located near campsite 9B2, washed out several years ago. There are no current plans to replace it. For a map of Yellowstone campsites, visit: http://www.nps.gov/yell/publications/pdfs/backcountry/mainmap.pdf Zoom in to see the specific campsites. You may also contact a Backcountry Ranger at Yellowstone National Park at (307) 344-2160 or (307) 344-2163, or visit: http://www.nps.gov/yell/publications/pdfs/backcountry/index.htm for specific information on planning Yellowstone Backcountry trips. Happy camping! Zrica |

According to yellowstonenationalpark.com, there are 600-700 bridges crossing backcountry creeks and rivers. I have no idea how many of those cross Bechler River. They also say that the park staff will evaluate the need for new and replacement bridges, but I don't see a mention of plans to build specific bridges. |
