I am looking for the lyrics to a song entitled "C'est Trop Beau"
written by Raymond Vincy and Francis Lopez and recorded by Tino Rossi.
It is a song used in the movie "French Kiss". On the CD it is listed
as "under license from CEMA Special Markets".

Dear whittie515,

Since the lyrics are obviously nowhere available on the Web, I took
the only way left: I obtained a copy of the recording and transcribed
it, using my knowledge of the French language. This is the result:

Donc t'on sourire
Je viens de lire
Quand t'on aveux

C'est trop beau, notre venture
C'est trop beau, pour être vrai

C'est trop beau, la joie profonde
Tes regards tous adorais

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your effort, but I'm not sure your answer translates e.g.,
what does the following phrase mean:
"Et tout matire, vers te dans temps"? I had translated the first
phrase as "et tu m'attires" ("you entice me/draw me towards...")as you
had: I don't know what "tout matire" means, and I don't know how to
translate "vers te dans temps". It looked like "toward you in time",
except the form of "you" should be "toi" in that case, not "te", and
besides, it makes no sense in the context of the song (not that much
else does).

Dear whittie515,

I must apologize: In the meantime, I was able to consult a person
speaking better French than I do. "Et tout matire" must, of course, be
"et tu m'attires". In fact, you find it correctly translated in the
previous line:

(...)
(...)

The "et tout matire" remained, accidentally, there from my first
attempt of translation. In fact, it should read:

(...)
A présent je te désire
Et tu m'attires
Vers te dans temps
(...)

As for the "vers te dans temps" - this is correct. Listening over and
over again to it, I can't find any other possible transcription of
this line. The "te" may be used here in order to keep the metrical
foot.

Scriptor

Hi
Being French and reading the lyrics ( I do not know the song by Tino Rossi

) I think there are some changes which make sense in the context of the
story of the song
Voila

---------------

Tes regards tous adores

=====================
Hope this helps

Chef: I think you've got it. Merci bien! With some trepidation, I
offer the URL of someone who has used the song as part of some blog:
