Surprisingly, yes!
According to this La Leche League site, even an adoptive mother can
sucessfully breastfeed!

If, by any chance, you are wondering about milk production occurring
spontaneously -- when this occurs it can be a sign of something wrong
in the pituitary gland and needs evaluation.
