this is the subject of a radio competition and is, (i think) a radio
advert but it might be a tv advert.

i have tried "the daily wav" and most search engines, i also e mailed
superwok.com, but no reply. i think it must come from a old advert as
it states there are 14 super woks in the bay area but i can only find
about 6 now!
it finishes something like "super wok 80, 15 miles from the march of
time"

What type of business establishment is it? The superwork.com web site
is for a restaurant.

i only know what i hear in the clip played on a uk radio competition,
but i have
been under the impression thats its a franchise based business for
either chinese or japanese food. i dont know if superwok.com is
connected to this company or even if they are still in business,
although there seem to be many "superwok" resturants around the world,
as it refers to "the bay area" i was hoping someone in california
might remember the advert!

i think the company is now defunct from e mails i sent to the s.f. bay
tourist office!

sorry i was mistaken when i was listening to the advert. its not super
wok its super walk! and the beneficiary is the march of dimes! so the
advert runs "wherever you are there's a superwalk locatition near you,
from redwood city to napa, from san fransisco to ????, and fourteen
other bay area locations, sign up today, superwalk80 20 miles for the
march of dimes"

I think what Phyliss is looking for is "wok", not "work". The chinese frying pan.

Sorry, I meant I assumed that there is a product called Super Wok as
well as a restaurant.

Hello phyliss-ga,

What a challenge! I don’t have an answer for you, but I think I’ve
found a site that might help you get there. Since you said that the
quote you’re looking for is part of a radio competition in the UK I
decided to try searching for UK only sites with
(://www.google.co.uk/ ).

Searching for “super wok” or superwok revealed that there are
restaurants by both of these variations both in the UK and in
California. I’m not sure they’re a chain. It may be just a nice
generic name for Chinese restaurants. Since this approach didn’t get
any leads for an answer I decided to try another approach.

I next searched for “radio advert contest” (without the quotes) and
discovered that contests are a big deal in the UK. I also found this
gem.

The UK's Competition Portal
http://www.loquax.co.uk/competitions/

I wasn’t able to find what you’re looking for because I wasn’t sure
which categories to check out. You might have better luck since you’ve
heard the advert and might recognize where it appeared.

Good luck with your quest.
