Question ID: 105950
what is the title of this movie?

i saw a clip from a movie in the late 70's:

inside a tent, egyptian theme, a man (in my memory, looks like gene
wilder?) is in a big throne-like chair. however, his hands are trapped
on the spiked armrests. a person has the key to open the locks and
drops it in an urn by his feet, and walks out. he kicks at the urn to
somehow get the key, and it falls and breaks. scorpions come out and
begin to crawl all over him

please do not "answer" the question by telling me you can't find it,
or telling me where to look. i will not consider the question answered
unless you have the title of the movie. thanks and good luck

It might be helpful if you can have a sample of the movie clip posted
or be made downloadable somewhere in the Internet and give us the URL.

What genre was this movie? Was it a horror/suspense? Comedy? Action Adventure?

i don't know anything more about the movie. i assume it was a horror
movie. this question is a toughie - i couldn't find it from countless
searches. i'm hoping someone who saw a lot of B movies will recognize
the scene as described.

Just for the record. If it was Gene Wilder it was a comedy. However,
I looked through his filmography, and I can't find anything that fits
that description. In the 70's he was in

1979-The Frisco Kid
1978-The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother
1977-The Worlds's Greatest Lover
1976-Silver Streak
1974-Blazing Saddles
1974-The Little Prince
1974-Thrusday's Game
1974-Young Frankenstein
1972-Everything you wanted to know about sex but were afraid to ask.
1971-Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
1970-Quackser Fortune Has a Cousin in the Bronx
1970-Start the Revolution Without Me

If Gene Wilder had been in it, I could find it. If you could think of
any actors by name. I could probably find it.

Sorry,
pba

It's "Dr. Phibes Rises Again"

Check these links. There's even a picture of the man sitting in a
scorpion chair with spikes by his hands.

Oh. And the urn you might be thinking of is the bell of an old
fashioned record player. He actually kicks over the ceramic dog and
that's when it breaks open with scorpions pouring out and then all
over the guy.

the only appropriate response to this is Oh. My. God. i can't believe
someone found it! wow ... so how do i give you the $10? do you have to
be approved as an official answerer first?

Oh, and I think you need to close your question out, so you don't get
charged by an official answerer in case they decide to answer as well.

This is awfully confusing!
