I'm trying to find a networking product that was discontinued by 3Com.
The model I need to locate is 3Com's Corebuilder 9400 switch. The
specific manufacturer part number is 3C94024. Any help would really
make our IT team happy!

Hi fck,

Just for clarification, are you looking to buy the switch (new or
used?), or are you looking for enduser customers?

I believe I have a source of a used one for you.

Thanks,
duncan2-ga

Hey duncan2! Yes, Since this switch has been discountinued, I'd buy
as many as I could get my hands on (new or used). They're needed as
backups.
Thanks for your help.

I understand from the comments below that, despite claims to the
contrary, some resellers claim to have your switch in stock but in
fact do not. I am listing below the three most promising results but
can find more if required - just request a clarification.

CodeMicro claims to have 4 new switches for you - $24,000 each.
I got as far as entering a credit card number, and no indication that
the item is *not* truely available.

MTMnet lists their availablity as "inquire" but I include them for
completeness. Used switches - $5,000 each.

BIZI has an entry but no price - I have emailed for a quote

Rating is more reflective of the answers relative to my expectations.
As clarified, my staff had already done standard web searches on
model, partnumber, etc. My hope was to find avenues outside of simply
entering data in search engines.

Hi fck:

Given your further clarification, I do not think I can find you the
information you seek. I have asked the Google Answers editors to
remove my above answer so that some other researchers (perhpas with
access to information that I do not have) can try to get you what you
need.

Please, in future, if you clarify your original question as much as
possible, we will be able to provide even better service to you. :-)

Thanks.

As a help to other resarchers, I include the following clarification
that fck-ga made (in case it gets removed when my answer does):

"Be happy to clarify! I have a product management team on staff
who've
already done the typical web searches on product family/desc/pn etc.
The brokers listed in your reply pretend to have the product, but
don't (the Product Manager is in regular contact with them). I was
trying this program to determine the depth of research available.
Ideally, I'm interested in enduser customers who had purchased this
product during the year it was in production. Having trouble finding
them and assume the product I find will be used (ok with that).
Thanks for your help - drop me a note if further clarification is
needed."
