racecadotril is a enkephalinase inhibitor sold as a anti-diarrheal
drug and made by Smithkline Beecham. They buy the material from their
subsidiary - Bioprojet in Paris. Bioprojet seems to own the patent.
My question is if they own the patent for the raw material or only for
their finished compound? It seems unclear from a look at the patent
record, although I have not seen the complete record.
