Could this possibly be a recipe for chocolate cake from the Cafe
DuMond in New Orleans?

One thing to take note of - 'du monde' is Frecnh for 'world' or 'the
world'. Essentially this recipe could be any French chocolate cake. I
was unable to find one using soley this name. I'll keep my eyes open
for you :-)

Hello again,

I was able to find a French recipe, but I can not judge as to if this
is what you need. Here is a translated version of the site and recipe.
Let me know if it sounds familiar:

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://www.chocoland.com/univers/recette/classique/classique.htm&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dcake%2Bdu%2Bmonde%2Bde%2Bchocolat%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26newwindow%3D1%26sa%3DG

I found it doing a search for :
"cake du monde de chocolat"
Chocolate Cake of the World

Thanks again,
SgtCory

Nellie,

Cafe Du Monde, does not sell chocolate cake. They have three things
on the menu (besides water): 1) coffee/frozen coffee, 2)
milk/chocolate milk and of course, 3) Famous New Orleans Beignets.

Fats,

Here's a recipe site I found called CuisineDuMonde, they have
several recipes, including a few chocolate cakes and pies;
 http://www.cuisinedumonde.com/recipes.html

Here's a similarly named site, saveurs du monde - this link is in
French, followed by a Translation:
     http://saveurs.sympatico.ca/recettes.htm
     http://babel.altavista.com/tr?urltext=http%3a%2f%2fsaveurs%2esympatico%2eca%2frecettes%2ehtm&language=fr

You may want to look at those and see if anything looks familiar! I
will continue to look for you as well :)
