Are there any web-based to-do list applications for businesses? (If
not, what's the closest thing out there?) Ideal find is an application
that does only to-do list mgmt. (I'm thinking of writing this
application. Think there's a market? <g>)

I have not found any "only to do list" web based software but have
already listed different web based PIMS and collaboration tools that
goes hand in hand with "to-do list" software. Will this be considered
as a legitimate answer. Just let me know. :)

There are very few only ToDo list managers. But I believe 'Agnostos'
fits the bill.
  - Agnostos v0.9.11
    License : Free- GNU GPL
From the website : 'Agnostos is a simple web-based task management
system, allowing you to maintain a set of todo lists for a number of
people, departments and workgroups....The system is designed for ease
and speed of use, and is primarily intended for small companies or
project groups; it's designed simply to overcome the mental stack
overflow I often experienced working as a project manager in a small
company."
There is a fully functional demonstration running on
agnostos.xenoclast.org

Besides the above, there are a number of PHP/Perl scripts for webbased
TODO list management available. For more details, check out -
  - LinuxLinks.com : Web > Productivity Tools > ToDo
    ( http://www.linuxlinks.com/Web/Productivity_Tools/ToDo/ )

There are of course, a number of websites that offer ToDo list,PIM &
Calendars functionality. You can find a small list here :
  - Online Personal Information Management facilities
    ( http://www.emailaddresses.com/email_pim.htm )
  - Organizers: Get Organized for Free
    ( http://courses.washington.edu/~hs590a/modules/23/webcalendars.html)

I was not able to find any commercial apps that offer only ToDo list
management, so you can probably find a niche market there.
Hope this helped.
If you need any clarificatins, just ask!

Answer was fine... although I guess it's a little difficult to verify
completely, because that would be 'proving a negative' in this
particular case. Thanks!!

Hi New York Guy,

There's a good application in QuickBooks,
which can be set to pop up when you open
the program. But it is not a stand-alone
application.

Don't most PDAs come with something like
that, though? I don't have one, but keep
seeing my clients making entries into their
PDAs whenever I give them instructions.

Ok. I was looking for something like salesforce.com (should have
thought of that in my query). Salesforce.com is web-based sales force
mgmt for corporations.

Basically it looks like there isn't much out there in the 'to-do' list
space, at least w/ web-based apps.
