Whenever I go to certain pages (nothing special about them, even certain pages on my own personal website), the browser closes down? On IE 6 there is no message, but on Netscape 7.0 I get the following message: "The procedure entrypoint_JVM_SupportsCX8@0 could not be located in the dynamic link library jvm.dll", and then closes down. Would anyone out there know why? Thanks for any assistance you are able to offer. | |

Something to note is that any JVM errors are caused by your Java Virtual Machine crashing, which is the real-time compiler that runs all of the Java applets and code on many webpages. You might have to reinstall your browsers in order to gain functionality back again. skermit-ga |

That is slightly misleading. The JVM is not a compiler. The applets are already compiled into whats called byte-code. The JVM is an interpretor or whats knows as a sandbox which is a safe environment in which the applet the can run. |
