It appears that the most comprehensive visual indices of pottery marks
are in books, rather than online. The most complete books that I have
seen are two companion volumes:

"Kovels' Dictionary of Marks: Pottery and Porcelain, by Ralph M.
Kovel, Terry H. Kovel (Contributor)"
Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0517701375/qid=1037227551/sr=1-6/ref=sr_1_6/102-4015519-4103322

"Kovels' New Dictionary of Marks: Pottery and Porcelain, 1850-Present,
by Ralph M. Kovel, Terry H. Kovel"
Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0517559145/qid%3D993434846/sr%3D1-1/ref%3Dsc%5Fb%5F1/102-4015519-4103322

There are several other books devoted to pottery marks that are not as
comprehensive as these, some of which are included in this list:

"The Book Store"
American Art Pottery Association
http://www.amartpot.org/amazon_book_store.htm

The best online database of pottery marks I found is this one:

"Pottery and Ceramic Marks"
Heather's Nostalgic Antiques and Collectibles
http://www.heanosantiq.com/ceramic_and_pottery_marks.htm

But, especially if you are searching for UK pottery marks, this online
database could also be helpful:

Potterymarks.co.uk
http://www.potterymarks.co.uk/

I hope that this information is helpful.
