Hi,

The only META tag in the header area of an HTML page that helps with
Page Ranking, is the Title Tag.

Keyword Tags, Description Tags and all the rest do not get indexed by
Google, nor do they influence PageRank.

Your title should not be more than 60 characters long for PageRank,
the shorter the better. If you are not concerned with PageRank on a
page then it can be just about any length.

To learn more about Meta Tags you can read this page.

This page isn't right for Google, but AltaVista still uses Keywords as
far as I know. But the page is in Spanish and describes how to use the
META TAGS with good explanation.
