surveyors use survey grade DGPS with accuracy only a few inches. i want to know the models under a $5000 price (I have already found a $4000 TRIMBLE, but it is not easy to use) | |

It appears it gets down to Trimble, Ashtech and Corvallis for the "mid-range" but accurate GPS units... http://www.cmtinc.com/nav/frprod.html has a variety of systems, but it will have to be a post processing solution before you can attain the accuracy you are looking for within the sub-$5000 price range. Corvallis has: MARCH II-E 3.7 PKG - List Price: $4,385.00 MC-GPS 3.7 PKG - List Price: $5,650.00 Both of the above are with their beacon receiver package and are $1200 cheaper if bought without it. |
