I am looking for a list (names) of the 2002 Fortune 500 Companies
headquartered in the Washington DC metro area.  It would also be
helpful to know the
number, and names, of the 2001 Fortune 500 companies headquartered in
the Washington DC metro area.  Lastly, in addition to the lists
described above regarding the Washington DC Metro area, it would be
good to know the number, and the names, of the 2002 Fortune 500
companies headquartered in the District of Columbia.  I don't want to
sort through the entire Fortune 500 - I want the DC Metro and District
of Columbia information carved out.  Thanks

Hi! Please note that I have listed ALL Maryland and Virginia Fortune
500 companies with their city location in parentheses because there is
some controversy as to how far the DC metro area actually extends into
Maryland and Virginia. I have placed asterisks by the ones that I
personally (being a DC resident) would NOT consider part of the
greater DC area.
