The subject that you have chosen is a pretty wide one.For eg.,
Websites for moms could be websites about children, childcare,
pregnancy, school, home making etc. Compiling such a list is a huge
task and a complete list is probably not even possible.
Due to the wide topic you need to cover, I am not posting this as an
answer. Please take a look at the resources I have listed below.If
they meet your needs, I will post this as an answer.

Anyway, to get you started, here are a few resources that I found :

  1) Specialized Search Engines/Portals : These search engines index
sites of interest to moms and can thus help you with your list.

    -  Like Mom - An index for Services any Mom (or Dad) can use
      ( http://likemom.com/ )
      From the website : "Like Mom is an index of websites every
mother, grandmother, stepmother, godmother, WAHM, or expectant mothers
can use to locate services or products of interest to moms.  Unlike a
search engine that will index any pages it finds, the Like Mom index
is only for mom related websites.  What are some examples of mom
related websites?  Websites about children, childcare, pregnancy,
teenagers, school, home making, and romance… in short, anything to do
with mothers."
     The site claims to link to over 1200 websites and also provides
you with the list of the 100 most visited sites.

  - Mom Seek - The Search Engine for Moms

  - Aiming At Moms

  2) Check out the various web directories.These directories contain
links to various related magazines and webdirectories.

   - Open Directory Project  : Home > Family
     ( http://dmoz.org/Home/Family/ )
     Lists 7,185 websites pertaining to family and family issues, most
of which relate to moms also.You should also check out the Google Web
directory ( http://directory.google.com/) which, though uses the data
from Dmoz, ranks the listed websites according to their importance and
relevancy, which would probably be of more use to you.
    
   - Yahoo Web Directory : Society and Culture > Families > Parenting

however, it might be possible to list, for example, 10 magazines and
25 web sites.  If that approach would be acceptable, please indicate
how many magazines and sites you would like listed. Also, please
indicate whether you're limiting the magazines and sites to a

Hi! We are sorry but a listing of "ALL" parenting websites and
magazines would indeed prove to be an impossible task due to the vast
nature of the Internet and since websites and magazines like these
just come and go. My strategy would be to point you to different web
directories of parenting related websites. The list that will be
generated by this would be big enough for your needs. Would this be
considered as a legitimate answer? Just let me know. :)

Thank you for all the guidance.  If we changed our needs to the Top 10
sites and magazines, in the US, would that make it doable?  We are
looking for sites and publications, with content specific to
motherhood (caring for kids).
