how much information can you find about this author?  i havent been
able to find too much.  text or links accepted happily.  this is just

I agree that there is not too much information on the Internet about
Ruth Chew.  She seems to have been a favorite author of many
youngsters, especially in the 1970s and 1980s, but achieved only
limited popularity with the public at large.  I hope that this answer
adds to what you have been able to discover.

She was born in Minneapolis in 1920, grew up in Washington, D.C.
worked as a fashion artist, is the mother of five and the grandmother
of three and lives in Brooklyn, NY with her lawyer husband.  As far as
I have able to determine, both she and her husband are still living.

i guess my interest in her dates me.  thats weird.  so when im like 95
and i go senile and forget who i am and start mouthing off about ruth
chew some anthropologist will be able to nail my age down pretty well
i guess.  :)
