The link above gives basic details of this unusal event. What's more
unusual is that in the original newspaper articles from 1934 they
speak of the couple's 7 year old daughter (Maxine Fleider) that had
spent the night with friends, but a recent check of Birth/Marriage
Records of this person says she died at birth?

What happened to Maxine Fleider? Her life? Where is she today?

Dear mmatw,

Genealogical data on these persons is, alas, rather rare. But at least
I found out the following:

- Frank Flieder was married three times. Anna Flieder, who died as a
victim of the murder, was not the mother of Maxine, but her (second)
stepmother.

- Given that Maxine Flieder's full name, including the middle name
"Sybil", did not by enormous coincidence belong also to a second woman
who was in 1945 in the age for having her first child, Frank Flieder's
daughter was still alive and married in the summer of '45.

- She appears to be still living, as does her husband.

I am sorry I was not able to find out more.

Regards,
Scriptor
