Hi,
Longevity Management Systems Pty Ltd is probably not a US based
business. The Pty Ltd is mainly found in Australian businesses.
Longevity Management Systems (LMS) doesn't have a web site. Neither
does World Plan Executive Council or Corporate Renaissance. These are
the other companies involved with these renovation and redirection of
services projects. Both have been linked with The Transcendental
MeditationŽ (TMŽ) program of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
However, TM has a Global Country of World Peace corporate world site.
It doesn't mention any specific projects except for building 3000
local peace palaces.

The Maharishi Vedic Education Development Corporation which is based
in the US:
"Inquiries concerning trademarks, copyrights and other intellectual
property rights governing the content of this Web site should be
directed to MVED Legal Department, 639 Whispering Hills Road, Suite
725, Boone, North Carolina 28607 USA."
http://www.tm.org/main_pages/copyright.html
Has many offshoots... not quite as many as the "Thousand-Headed Mother
Divine" but probably more diverse.
It seems that World Plan Executive Council was involved with the
projects that you are interested in. There was some public debate and
Corporate Renaissance became the company that was involved. There was
more public debate and Longevity Management Systems appeared on the
paperwork. Tim Brennan seems to have been the main figure in all three
of these companies with regard to these development projects.
--Tweed Heads
Health Projects International (HPI) website has a brief intro to the
project http://www.hpi.net.au/hpi/body_websites/Tweed_Heads/tweed_heads.htm
and then sends you to...
Tweed Heads Hospital Stage 3
"asset.gov is DPWS leading edge, award-winning technology that uses
the Internet to create a secure, collaborative environment that
supports the management of projects and information." The mamagement
of information seems to include password protection so you can't have
access to the site.

The Queen Victoria Redevelopment Project Contact Sheet
http://203.147.208.219/QVG/contacts.htm
lists LMS as one of the groups involved with the Tweed Heads Hospital
project. Tim Brennan is listed as the contact, but there isn't any
other information.
--Currawong
The facility at Currawong had been used as a worker's retreat. The new
construction is geared to corporaate clientele who will be offered
stress relief and alcohol rehabilitation among other services. The
treatments are based on TM - Transcendental Meditation. The property
is leased to Longevity Management Systems for 35 years and will revert
back to the government at the end of the lease.
The basis problem here seems to be that the community wants the place
to be preserved for public use. Their plan for upgrading would cost
money and not improve profits substantially. The plan that was
approved provides some space to union workers, but the bulk of the
rooms are for high paying corporate patients. The government was not
asked to pay anything towards the improvements and they are getting
paid for the use of the property. At the end of the lease term, the
property will be given back - improved and paid for.
You have to wonder if the fuss would have been so vocal if the
corporation involved were not affiliated with TM - and if the
government had been a little more open about what was going on.
The April 2, 1999
Worker's Online which is produced by the Labor Council of NSW devotes
an entire issue to this discussion. This was when Corporate
Renaissance - with Tim Brennan in charge - was the primary group
involved. Since then Corporate Renaissance has withdrawn and Longevity
Management Systems - with Tim Brennan in charge - seems to have sealed
the deal.

The Web Edition of the Blue Mountains Gazette has a facts and some
opinions about the sale. They have followed the story from the start.
You should note that the news briefs are presented on the LMS site.
The link "Click to go directly to the Blue Mountains Gazette: Web
Edition" won't take you there so don't bother following it.

QUEEN VICTORIA
COMMUNITY WORKSHOP

D R A F T M I N U T E S
http://203.147.208.219/QVG/CONSULTATION/Community-Workshop-notes-2-Sep-2000.htm
includes somefurther discussion of the project with 10 people (from
the community). The first presentation was by Aladin Niazmand of
Health Projects International - the same HPI who designed the Web site
for the project. I could not find any reference to the link to the TM
movement concerning this group, although the International in the name
seems to fit the trend. However, this is just speculation.

This obituary of Helen Patricia Ramsay mentions that she was active in
trying to prevent the sale of the hospital to Longevity Management
Systems

but apparently the Hospital is NOT being sold.
