Hi Wodahs-ga! You did not specify if you want to get a copy of the
book, borrow it from a source, or where you are located so that we can
try to find a source near you. In this case, I will give you possible
sources for the book you are searching for.

The book you are referring to is called “Emergency Reference Guide”,
edited by Neal E. Flomenbaum and James R. Roberts and published for
Syntex Laboratories by Emergency Medicine Division, Cahners Publishing
Co. Logic tells me that one of the surest way (but not always) to
acquire a certain book is to get it from the publisher itself. An
initial search led me to the International Trade Administration (ITA)
website (http://www.ita.doc.gov/) and found this information:

Cahners Publishing
P.O. Box 5080
Des Plaines, IL 60017-5080
Tel: 708/635-8800
(Info located at http://www.ita.doc.gov/td/instrumentation/pub.html)

Since the exact address is not clear I searched again and found the
following contact info in a link at Cape Systems.com
(http://www.capesystems.com/):

Packaging Digest Magazine
Cahners Publishing Co.
1350 E. Touhy Ave
Des Plaines, IL 60018-5080, USA
Tel : 1 847 635 8800
Fax : 1 847 390 2460
Web site : www.packagingdigest.com
E-mail : packagingdigest@cahners.com
(Info located at http://www.capesystems.com/saleshotlinks/magazines.html)

One particular link I found at Packaging Digest.com, “Cahners Business
Information”, points to http://www.cahners.com/ which, when opened,
leads to the Reed Business Website (http://www.reedbusiness.com).
With this we know that Cahners Publishing Co. is now Reed Business
Information.

According to Reed Business’ Company profile, Cahners Publishing Co.
was renamed Cahners Business Information after being fully acquired
Reed International in 1997. Reed International merged with Elsevier,
Dutch publisher, in 1993 to form Reed Elsevier PLC.

You can visit the site’s “Contact Information” page at
http://www.reedbusiness.com/index.asp?layout=inside&articleId=CA150197
for inquiries regarding the book you are searching for.

Other possible sources:

Alternatively, there is another place where you can find the book.
It’s located at:

William C. Jason Library - Learning Center
(http://www.dsc.edu/library/)
Delaware State University (http://www.dsc.edu/)
1200 N. DuPont Highway, Dover, Delaware, 19901-2277
Phone: (302) 857-6290

“Emergency Reference Guide” is listed in their “New Titles - General
Collection, April 1-30, 2001”
(http://www.dsc.edu/library/arp01_2001.htm). Perhaps you could ask the
library to help you get a copy of the book even if it’s in photocopied
form.

You can also try searching at Amazon.com
(http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/subst/home/home.html/102-6509138-1937743).
You can find helpful links that can further narrow your search just by
clicking http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/508510/ref=hy_f_9/102-6509138-1937743.

It might also help if you visit and inquire at Alibris.com
(http://www.alibris.com) since they are great at finding hard-to-find
books and other reading materials. Just ask their customer service
(http://www.alibris.com/help/help-home.cfm?S=R) to help you get the
book you want – at a price of course.

Furthermore, a visit to your local bookstore (big and small) is a very
good idea. You can also inquire from a friend who knows other possible
sources or someone who already has the book.

Search Strategy:

“Emergency Reference Guide” in Google Websearch
"Cahners Publishing Co" in Google websearch
Specific word search within the visited websites

I hope this helps. Thank you very much and good luck.
