I remember a television program called "Potpourri" that aired in the
United States in the '70s on PBS. It was an educational show aimed, if
I recall correctly, at children. I need at least two (I'll tip for
more than two) of the following details about the program: (1) exact
year(s) aired, (2) premise of the show, (3) list of cast and crew, and
(4) where I can find viewable episode(s) of the show, whether on VHS
or otherwise.

In what city or on what PBS station did you see "Potpourri"? Do you
recall any other details about the show? Any information you can
provide might be helpful.

I saw the program on a PBS station in Beckley, West Virginia. Because
it's a rural area with a tiny PBS station, I'd assumed "Potpourri"
must be a nationally distributed show -- I could be wrong, but I
strongly suspect that this particular local PBS affiliate wouldn't
have had the resources to produce their own programming. My best guess
as to the time period would be 1975-1978, but that's just a guess. I
don't recall specific details about the show except that it was
educational in nature, and was probably aimed at children.

After trying several different spelling possibilities and coming up
with nothing, I did some research on the PBS station in question
itself. It's WSWP-TV in Beckley, WV, and I did find that this station
had indeed produced several shows of its own, so I'm thinking that
this is probably the case with the show you're inquiring about.

Here's some very basic contact information from a cached Google page:

WSWP

Began operation: November 1, 1970
Authorized Power: 316-kw (visual) 63.2-kw (aural)

My suggestion would be that you drop them a line and see if anyone
there remembers the show. Good luck!
