Hi there, On the newsgroup in question, Peter Mansell and James Flipper don't actually reply directly to each other, but respond consecutively to an alt.computer.security post titled "Questions about computer security" posted by "Simon." James' reply time and date appear as 19 May 2002 19:17:49 -0700.
