How many miles does the earth travel in its annual orbit around the sun?

Thank you for your very interesting question regarding the Earth's
travel around the sun.

The Earth travels at approximately 30 kilometers per second.  There
are 31,536,000 seconds in a year (365 days X 24 hours X 60 minutes X
60 seconds). At 30km per second, the earth travels 946,080,000
kilometers per year.  This converts to roughly 586,569,600 miles
traveled per year.
