I need as complete a list of companies as possible that bill for
services on your LEC bill. Examples are all the IXC's, the LEC's
themselves, ISP's. I'm especially interested in small companies doing
this billing.
All of these are most likely customers of seven LEC billing
clearinghouses (HBS, Billing Concepts, ILD, Illuminet, Integretel,
PaymentOne, TransMedia)

SOURCES

All the sources are listed as part of the answer.

SEARCH STRATEGY

1. Google queries to check the meaning of the acronyms LEC, IXC, ISP.
2. Google queries to identify the LEC billing companies.
3. Google queries to locate the lists of licensed IXCs, state by
state.
4. Google query to get the list of ISPs (internet.com).
5. Google queries to identify the main trade associations.

RESEARCH SUMMARY

A number of LEC billing companies were identified, and their URLs
recorded. The number of IXCs and ISPs that can be identified is in
the thousands, and it does not seem practical to copy and paste
thousands of lines in this space. But the pertinent URLs are
recorded, and these URLs constitute the source of a very complete (if
not exhaustive) list of companies involved in LEC billing.

Let me know if you have any questions, or need further clarification.

Best regards,
pelican-ga

The companies I'm looking for are NOT the LEC billing clearinghouses
that you listed, buth THEIR CUSTOMERS.
Of their customers, I'm interested in the ones that are NOT ISP's or
IXC's.
