Every time I used to place my IR activated mobile phone in front of
the IR port on my toshiba portege 7020 laptop running win2k the little
"in range" icon used to appear in the systray for barely a second (a
little grey box with a red circle in the middle with three stationary
green bars coming from it), immeadiately after the connection icon
would appear (two red points with a green bar moving left-right-left
between the two). For some reason now, only the "in range" icon
appears and stays, the connection icon only seems to appear for less
than a second at random intervals. Could someone please provide a
solution to this as I can't connect to the net via the modem in my
mobile phone and can't use the data suite that was supplied with my
phone too (this used to work perfectly).

As far as I can see I haven't changed the configuration of anything on
my machine.
