Hello Chris,
Here are a few things to try to resolve this problem:
Changing Resolution
1) Click Start, point to Settings, and click on Control Panel.
2) Double click on the Display icon.
3) Click Settings.
4) Where it says Screen Resolution, if it says 640x480 increase it to
800x600. If it already says 800x600 try 1024x768. Click the apply
button and your desktop resolution will increase. You want to increase
your resolution to get more desktop space so windows will appear
smaller.
Change Theme - You could have a theme that has large fonts, toolbars,
etc.
1) Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel.
2) Double click on Desktop Themes.
3) In the Themes list, look for the theme you had previously, it might
be "Standard", or "Windows 98 Second edition."
Disabling Accessibility Features
1) Click Start, point to Settings, and click on Control Panel.
2) Look for Accessibility Options and double click to open.
3) Click the Display tab.
4) Make sure the checkmark for Use High Contrast is disabled.
If all three of these options do not fix your problem, please let me
know and I will give you some further suggestions. Another problem
could be that in trying to set up the display, your video card driver
was somehow changed. If this is the case, I would need to know what
video card you are using to track down a driver.
Regards,
