Zombyw00f,
As one of the toughest tickets in all of sports, the Super Bowl, the
NFL's championship game, is not so much a game as it is an event.
Unfortunately, being that it is such a major event, the scarcity of
tickets makes it very difficult for people to actually get these
tickets. There are two ways to get tickets for the Super Bowl.
The NFL distributes tickets for the Super Bowl via a random drawing.
The entries for this drawing are accepted between Feb 1 and June 1 of
the year preceeding the game you wish to get tickets for. Therefore,
it is too late to enter for this year's game. All ticket requests
must be sent via certified or registered mail. If your name is drawn,
you will have the opportunity to purchase two tickets.
This year, there about 500 pairs of tickets distributed for Super Bowl
XXXVII on January 26th, 2003 in San Diego on the drawing held October
1st. To enter the drawing for next year's Super Bowl in Houston, TX,
send your request via certified or registered mail after Feb 1st to:
Super Bowl Random Drawing
PO Box 16400
Mascoutah, IL 62224-6400
If your name is drawn, you will have the opportunity to purchase two
tickets.
The other means of gettng tickets is through the two teams that are in
the Super Bowl. Typically, they are provided to season ticket
holders, corporate sponsors and others, with a limited amount going on
sale. Obviously, these will not be available until the teams are
determined in through the playoffs. As those teams are determined,
you can contact the ticketing offices of the respective teams to
determine how they will be distributing their tickets.
I wish I could provide you a better answer with a better opportunity
to get tickets, but it is extremely difficult to get tickets other
than through a broker. Thank you for your question and if you need
any additional clarification, please let me know.
Regards,
-THV
