Hi Mosheli,
I think I understand your question. According to this web site
http://asia.vtec.net/topics/enginecode.html
Honda engines come with codes on them that allow you to tell which
country the engine is being exported to, in some cases. So, an engine
with a code MF816 would be being exported to Malaysia. The newest
model Civic appears to be produced with a type R engine or racing
engine, which is completely different from the diferent versions it
was producing previously.
Info on this engine: http://www.hondacivictype-r.com/
For more information on the new Civic, or to chat with knowledgeable
Honda owners and appreciators, here are a few Honda forums:

You can also contact Honda at this number: 1-800-999-1009
If this is not the information you were looking for, please submit
some clarifying information and we will endeavor to help you further.
thank you

sorry but this is totaly not the information i was looking for. i'll
try to clarify :
the hona parts catalouge has on almost every part a list of codes for
example:
R1A,G1A,R6B,E3C
the first letter is always an indication of the country or group of
countries which the part suits it's imported specific models.the
figoure is a combination of engine type and sub model, and the last
letter indicates the acsesories the car has.
I know ,from older catalogs, that "E" for example stands for UK and
Ireland(appears in the index also as "KE"), "G" (appears in the index
also as KG)stands for a group of some west european countries (left
hand drive countries) . I know that "R" (appears in the indax as KR
also) is also stands for left hand drive countries ,and i know it
includes Israel and portugal but there is no information what other
countries it refers to.
the older catalog gave information about the country codes . but it
seems the "R" or "KR" is new and honda does not list anymore the grups
of countries every code refers to.
i dought if you can find the answer.
thanks for the try.

I called the Honda parts line with the number provided below. They
essentally said that without a specific VIN or a specific part number
they have a hard time providing information about country codes. I had
the woman on the phone look up new Honda Civics and do a search for
country code R, but she seemed to be saying that while the VINs have
numbers and letters in them that indicate manufacturers, she was not
familiar with the country code listings or descriptors for parts.
Her recommendaiton, for what it's worth, was to call a dealer who is
specifically versed in parts ordering -- with a part number in mind
-- and see if you can get more information out of them. If you called
up looking at a parts catalog and could refer to a page number or an
item, that would also be helpful. I would also recommend submitting
your question to the Honda forums I mentioned above to see if they can
give you a better idea of what this R stands for.
I'm sorry this is not more helpful, thanks for writing us.

Mosheli -- I'm sorry that my answer was not to your liking. I called
Honda specifically and the woman I spoke to indicated 1. that this
country code you speak of doesn't have a listing for R [she also
suggested the Racing engine] 2. that you shoudl call her specifically
with the part number or give one of the researchers the part number.
If you are displeased with your answer I suggest that you resubmit it
or ask for a refund.
