I want to ride a Segway, but I don't want to buy one. I just want to
take one for a spin. How can I do this? I live in Philadelphia.

The Segway is available to the general public at this time only by
ordering it on Amazon.com -- no test driving before buying there!
However, you can register to be notified of consumer events -- or
business events, if you are a part of a business -- at which you can
try the Segway. Would details about this possibility be a sufficient
answer? (If you are a member of the media, I could add contact
information for the company; perhaps you can arrange a test drive.)

OK, I see it's a very difficult thing to do as yet. Details about how
to be notified about upcoming events would be a sufficient answer.
Thanks!

stupidsexyflanders,

If you visit http://www.segway.com/connect/calendar.html, you can
register to be notified of upcoming events where you would be able to
see a the Segway HT (human transporter) in action. There is also a
great deal of information, including videos, about this interesting
mode of transportation.

If you need any additional information or clarification, please let me
know.

Regards,

-THV
