I'm looking for a supplier of those Quick-Customer cards that you put on Keyrings. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, the kind that grocery stores, libraries, etc give out -- perhaps 25mm x 75mm or so. These things need to be self-laminating (so I can customize each one) and I need a relatively small quantity (10,000 or so), so a custom-built product really wouldn't be ideal. Something around $0.10 - $0.25 would be OK though. These cards go in pockets, purses, etc, so a product like Avery's 11203 would simply not cut it. It needs to be durable hard plastic. Goood luck researchers, I look forward to your answer. | |

Halogenstudios, We have used a product for our ID card printer (Elton P310 - http://www.eltroncards.com/printers/p310.htm) that is a keychain plastic "dongle" or "Fob". The card then needs a laminate cover sticker, which is manually applied - but is simple to apply. This prevents the other keys from rubbing the ink off. I would highly recommend this solution if you are handing it out to customers. It is more professional. Since the card printer prints three key fobs at a time on one credit card sized media which you break apart, you have to print three at a time. You can print from Microsoft word - it is just another printer. You requested 10,000 cards at .25 per card. That is $2500 if I remember my math ;-). Here is a package that would work for you: Eltron P210C color card printer = $1,400 Monocrome Black Ribbon for 3 images = $100 30 MIL CR80 3up key tag = $700 Overlay = 470 So for about $2670, or $.26 per card, you can do it yourself! Benefits: (how we use the system) 1. You can change the logo/wording/barcode at any time on your fobs. Make a month's supply - or a days supply - same cost (except labor of course) On normal id card (credit card) sized media: 2. You can make IDBadges for employees. 3. You can make luggage tags that look like your business cards. 4. You can make credit card sized emergency contact lists for employees/kids. Travis |
