Afterr almost 10 years of relatively problem-free use of Quicken
(Deluxe now) I have been working to no avail with Quicken Intuit to
resolve a one month sign-in problem. It suddenly appeared with no
changes in programs or settings to account for it.
The techies and I have tried all the fixes to allow me to log-in to
Quicken.com either through my Q2001 software or directly through
Quicken.com
We've changed id's passswords etc and no success. We've reformulated
IE 5.1, tested the Q data integrety, all to no avail. When attempting
to sign in, the screen goes right back to the log-in page over and
over...or in Q2001, I get the famous "i" The page cannot be displayed
error message. There is no network involved; all the settings in IE
have been set properly, security settings have been changed
automatically, manually, etc etc etc
All of my other programs with or without password protection, are
functioning properly.
There is an increase in the "trayclnt" message, but that is eliminated
with a Control/Alt/Del ..end task process...the programs then process
everythiong but the ability to log on.
Further strangely, on my laptop, I have no problem going to the site
with an old id/password combo..but the Q2001 program is not on it (and
I do not want it there) and there fore the data is incomplete.
Last points. Quicken will update my portfolio prices without a hitch.
Not the portfolio, however and it gices me the message "You need to
register with Quicken.com"
Anybody out there that can help?

papalvin...
Does IE 5.1 have 128-bit encryption, and could that be
a factor in the log-in? As far as logging on to Quicken.com,
did you try deleting any cookies to that site (which might
be corrupted)? Has anyone walked you through an inspection
of quicken.ini (which may contain the data for your log-in
from the program)? Just some thoughts off the top...
