For the last 2 season it has been bothering me that I can't figure out what song is played when Dan Wilson of the Seattle Mariners is at bat. It's not the "What A Man" song by En Vogue, rather it is a remake of an older song from the 60's or 70's with sort of a "Western TV Theme Song" feel to it. In fact, one day I heard the original song on the radio on an oldies station and the next day at the baseball game heard the newer version played during Dan Wilson's plate appearance. I have seached the web high and low to no avail. I really like the song, but don't know name of it or the artists who perform it.

The tune that is often played when Dan Wilson is at bat is "Apache." The best-known version of this song was a worldwide hit for a British group called The Shadows in 1960. Here's a bit of info about The Shadows: Wanadoo: Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame http://home.wanadoo.nl/rock_and_roll/shadows.htm I found a bargain CD (only $5.99!) that contains "Apache" and many other hits by The Shadows: CDnow.com http://cdnow.com/cgi-bin/mserver/SID=211053690/pagename=/RP/CDN/FIND/album.html/ArtistID=SHADOWS/ITEMID=433533 My Google search strategy: "apache" + "the shadows" ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=apache+%22the+shadows I hope this helps! Please request clarification before rating my answer if anything more is needed, and I'll gladly offer further assistance. Best wishes, pinkfreud
