Is there an available copy of the Swingers International Journal (between 1973 and 1975) that covered the party house "Eden", in which John Holmes and I, along with the owners, Rich & Linda, were included? (There was also news coverage on this same subject!) | |

The closest title to this I have found that was in press during the years you note is, "Swingers World" magazine, published by Knight Publishing Corporation. I think the publisher and/or a major library would be the most likely sources to find a copy. Although I have not found it by the title you listed in any of the libraries I have checked, the Library of Congress lists this magazine in its catalogue (catalogue.loc.gov). You might try sending an e-mail to "Ask a Librarian" at the Library of Congress (http://www.loc.gov/rr/askalib/). This publisher has not been easy to find. Its address was once located in Los Angeles, CA. Although serials or periodicals databases index a wide range of magazines, I have not found this one listed in the major ones. Sometimes going to a library where it is held and checking the covers of the issues during that area is only way to identify the actual issue. Some magazines have an annual index as well in December, which might help identify the issue more quickly. Again, the only library that I am aware of that has owned the magazine I noted is the Library of Congress. Finding the publisher might be the best way to locate a copy you can obtain or access if the going to the library is not practical. vitalmed-ga |

I wanted to thank you for your efforts...I tried the Ask a Librarian at the Library of Congress and they had no answers, but they did refer me to the "Museum of Sex" in New York...my search continues...thank you again for your time...Cher Vinarde-Holmes |
