I would like to erase/delete the previously visited web addresses that pop up when ever I type in the Google searech box. I have already deleted all cookies, all temp internet files, and ran disk clean up. Still when I type "www." all previously visited sites pop up. |

Hi there! I'm assuming you're using the Internet Explorer browser. If this is not the case, then please use the "request clarification" feature before rating the answer, and I'll attempt to help you further. Just follow these instructions: 1) In Internet Explorer, go to the "Tools" menu and pick "Internet Options". 2) Select the "Content" tab. 3) Click the "Autocomplete" button. 4) In the section marked "Use Autocomplete for..." you should uncheck "Web Addresses" and "Forms". 5) Click "OK" and "OK" again, and close Internet Explorer. When you reload it, it will no longer suggest anything in either the address bar, or any forms such as the Google search box. If you wish to turn the feature back on, simply go back and check the boxes again. Good luck! --seizer-ga Search strategy: turn off autocomplete |

Hi andrecarmen, most importantly regarding your question is not to turn off but click on the "Clear Forms" button under the Clear AutoComplete history. This should solve your problem. - Imposer! |

To delete the Google Search Box history, Click on the Google symbol button to the left of the search box, and click "Clear Search History". Additionnaly, you could disable this feature : Click on the google symbol Choose "toolbar options..." Uncheck the option "Preserve the search history across browser sessions" or "Keep a search history in a drop-down list under the search box" according what you want. HTH, Largo |
