hi all i'm developing an archive system which will hold PDF files. there is also a program i'm writing to control the selection of PDF files to be opened by the users, and other things like :printing, going to specific page, going to a specific bookmark... so, i want to make all this operations from my program (using OCX, OLE etc...). what i found was that this is possible only from the full acrobat, but i need only to view PDF files and not to edit/create them. reader is free and the full acrobat cost some hundreds... is there any possible of doing this? other that using ocx installed with the reader? maybe with a plugin? thanks |

Have you tried looking in the Acrobat SDK (Software Development Kit)? http://partners.adobe.com/asn/developer/acrosdk/acrobat.html It is a large download (22Mb for Windows, 31Mb for Mac) so I have not verified that it contains any of the OCX files you are looking for, but I have had success with Microsoft's SDKs in my past projects. It is a free download, although you will have to abide by their terms and conditions for usage. Not knowing whay your intention is for distribution or usage of your app, I will leave it to you to decide. Found using google: Acrobat+SDK |
