Good answer tar-heel (sheesh no offence ;-).
One other thing though, if 2brvn-ga is an average user he/she can
probably not see thier windows\system folder as it is hidden by
default, as you no doubt know. If we assume that it is hidden then it
gets a little trickier.
Anyway for 2brvn-ga go to the windows folder/directory on your "C"
drive, just under "my computer" icon on your desktop. Browse to the C
drive and then to the Windows directory C:\Windows click on the folder
icon and you'll see another bunch of folders with in it. You may or
may not see the "system" folder depending on the settings you have
chosen in folder and files views and properties in the past. If you
do not see the folder right click somewhere in the white or back
ground area of the windows folder and go to properties and un check
the hidden properties item. Windows may give you all sorts of dire
warnings about doing this, just say HOOIE and dismiss any dialogs that
popup then you can "un-hide" it.
Then you will be able to drag and drop or cut and paste any files to
the folder that you like. However, do be careful and don't put
anything there that you are not sure belongs there.
Out of curiosity I looked in the Windows help system (Win98 SE2) and
came up with this entry under the topic hidden:
To show all files and file name extensions
In My Computer or Windows Explorer, click the folder you want to look
at.
On the View menu, click Folder Options.
Click the View tab, and then click Show all files.
If you want to see all file name extensions, click to clear the Hide
file extensions for known file types check box.
Note
To select a folder in the left pane of Windows Explorer, click the
folder.
Here's another from there:
To find a file or folder
Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
In Named, type all or part of the file name.
Enter a word or phrase in Containing text if you do not know the name
of a file but know a distinctive word or phrase it contains.
If you want to specify the location to start the search, click Browse.
Click Find Now.
Note
If you want the search to be case-sensitive, click the Options menu
and make sure a check mark appears next to Case Sensitive. Click to
create the check mark; click again to clear it.
Good luck
