Dear arborrita, The answer is: No. At least, Tiny Tim did never sing "Winchester Cathedral" (a song made famous by the New Vaudeville Band in 1966) on a recording. He might have sung it at private occasions, but if that were so, we would no know about it. The official complete Tiny Tim discography does not list "Winchester Cathedral" among his recordings: Remembering Tiny Tim: Official Discography http://www.tinytim.org/discography/index.html Search terms used: "Tiny Tim" discography: ://www.google.de/search?q=%22Tiny+Tim%22+discography&hl=de&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&newwindow=1 "Tiny Tim" "Winchester Cathedral": ://www.google.de/search?q=%22Tiny+Tim%22+%22Winchester+Cathedral%22&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=de&btnG=Google-Suche&meta= Hope this answers your question! While Scriptor is correct, no doubt, here's a quick note to suggest where confusion may have arisen. There has been at least one compilation that contains both a track by Tiny Tim ('Tip-Toe Thru the Tulips with Me', naturally) and a version of 'Winchester Cathedral' (by the New Vaudeville Band). The album is entitled 'Bubble Gum Party 2'. Gracenote http://cddb.com/xm/pcd/genunclassifiable/084f8af488b2a2c867391f4c3df1e6f7.html Poe |
