Hello--
I have carefully researched your question and have your answer.
The IP address you provided is not a valid address. However,
www.100bain.com is registered to Tucows, Inc. Syne-post.com is the
company that maintains the server of this web site.
Below is the information I obtained when I conducted a whois search to
find out the registration information.
Domain Name: 100BAIN.COM
Registrar: TUCOWS, INC.
Whois Server: whois.opensrs.net
Referral URL: http://www.opensrs.org
Name Server: NS1.SYNE-POST.COM
Name Server: NS2.SYNE-POST.COM
Updated Date: 12-sep-2002
You may conduct your own whois search at the VeriSign web site. The
link is http://www.netsol.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois
As I said, syne-post.com is the company the registrar hired to
maintain the site. It's likely that Tucows, Inc., makes all changes to
the site, but sine-post.com simply makes sure there's enough space on
the server for all the Internet traffic for the site.
The contact information for this site is:
Community Access Program
7th Floor
155 Queen Street
Ottawa ON K1A 0H5
Tel: 1-800-575-9200
TTY: 1-800-465-7735
Fax: (613) 952-8711
E-mail: comaccess@ic.gc.ca
The E-Mail address you asked about is a valid one. However, it is not
encrypted nor is it a secure address. This means that anything you
send via E-Mail is able to be seen by someone who knows how to hack
into E-Mail. While this is rare, it is possible.
Regarding syne-post.com, its business history and clients. The
official company name is listed as Syne-Post Communications. The phone
number for Syne-post.com is listed as 416-408-1200. You may read about
the services Syne-Post offers businesses - and the services it likely
performs for 100bain.com. The link is http://www.toronto-movers.com/
I conducted a reverse search with this number. This is the same phone
number that's registered to:
Intracor Inc
20 Queen St W
Toronto, ON M5H 3R3
416-408-1200
AND
Cycle Of Life Technologies
20 Queen St W
Toronto, ON M5H 3R3
416-408-1200
I searched the database of the Better Business Bureau. No records of
any companies named Syne-Post Communications, Intracor Inc., or Cycle
of Life Technologies, exist in the BBB system.
I found that Intracor, Inc., does business with the International
Resource Network. The link to this company is
http://www.powersourcing.com/se/cannedfood.htm
Intracor, Inc., also does business with Stranger Design. The link is
http://members.rogers.com/strangerdesign/Main/portfolio.html
Cycle of Life Technologies has conducted business with Imaging
Diagnostic System Inc., "On January 27, 2000, we executed a promissory
note with Cycle of Life Technologies, Inc. The note was for a
principal sum of $500,000, together with interest of 12% per annum on
the unpaid balance. The maturity date was July 26, 2000. The note
provided that, on its maturity, Cycle of Life had the option of being
repaid the principal and accrued interest either in cash or by
issuance of a two-year warrant to purchase 1,500,000 shares of common
stock at an exercise price of $.35 per share." You may read this full
report online. The link is http://biz.yahoo.com/e/010514/imds.ob.html
You may find more information about this business link at
http://www.findarticles.com/cf_0/m0EIN/1999_Dec_2/57890282/p1/article.jhtml
I also found information about Tucows, Inc. This is the company that
owns the registration rights to 100bain.com.
Tucows, Inc is located at:
Tucows, Inc
96 Mowat Ave
Toronto, ON M6K 3M1
General Information
Principal: Mr. Paul Karkas, Owner
Telephone #: (416) 535-0123
Email Address: pkarkas@tucows.com
Business Classification(s): Computer & Electronics Services-Other
This business has had complaints to the Better Business Bureau.
However, the BBB reports that these complaints have been resolved with
the company.
You may conduct your own search of the Better Business Bureau
database. The link is http://search.bbb.org/search.html
To conduct this research, I searched the Better Business Bureau
database, the database for the Province of Ontario business offices,
the telephone white pages, and the following search terms: "Syne-Post
Communications," "Syne-Post," "Cycle of Life Technologies," Intracor
I hope this helps! If you need any clarification, please don't
hesitate to ask.

thanks ... but - i've already looked into syne-post.com using whois
lookup and 411.ca reverse lookup. interesting shared phone # - because
of the lawsuit from that no. SEE ALSO toronto2.com - a client of
syne-post, with a billion dollar lawsuit ... the apparent owner of
syne-post lives in my housing co-op, and is operating a business here
- $20/mo. for 1.5 Mbps DSL - with 3 mips promised for Jan.03. Latest
co-op office newsletter sez there's a new addrerss, not Syne-Post ,
but OpenNetServer.com - apparently a paysite for erotica...
The "foundation" behind this is actually the federal gov't, a grant
scam, and the co-op's members housing charges, (aka rent) have loaned
$$ to the outfit - which is not permitted - people pay for housing,
not business loans , y'know ...
I've heard from two Gooogle researchers - your effort is by far the
best, but I don't feel I've seen $50 worth yet.

Hello alimalik--
Thanks for your clarification request.
I'm researching your added questions. But I want to make sure I
understand.
You're sharing a DSL line with the owner of this site. The owner is
the defendant in a lawsuit.
You have found information that leads you to believe the owner of the
site receives money from a federal grant and using the money for
business.
Am I following accurately?
If so, can you tell me a few more things. What's the name of the grant
he/she receives? How much was it? Which agency provided the money? Do
you have any contact names at that agency?
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks,

Hello Darrel
this is my first try at using Google research - naive newby !- so, i
don't know if you can see the reply from "denco.ga"
s/he reports community access program , etc. a federal program to
provide access to all canadians.
Anyway, here's my clarifications :
1. I'm not on the DSL line - won't as well as don't - smell of fish is
too strong.
2. Not a defendent in a lawsuit - a host for sites with fishy/unlikely
suits.
See toronto2.com - supposedly the flagship for a nationwide network,
suing for a billion, with links to nothing - vapourware, i think it's
called.
shared phone# with an outfit wanting shares instead of loan repayment
...Cycle of Life Technologies. wtf ?
This week, syne-post.com 's owner has announced a namechange - to
OpenNetServer.com . Until yesterday, that address showed
worldarterotica.com - but yesterday, that changed to justnetserve.com
.
Justice Network Services has admin and tech contact as the owner of
syne-post. The whois lookup gives a snailmail address at a 'Mailboxes
R us" franchise a few blocks from the owner's (&my) home.
The grant is from Industry Canada - Community Access Program. Industry
Canada - although their site doesn't mention it - about a year out of
date info -
17,500/yr. to the Bain Apartments Co-op Inc. CAPsite.
This is the 2nd year of funding; last year was in "partnership" with
Bleeker St.Co-op's "mousepadsite" - another complicated story/scammy
looking deal -
I've had no reply from the Industry Canada email address - not
interested in whistle blowing about tens of thousands of $$ when
gunregistry has gone from $2m to$ a billion or so ?
Anyway, it's all a tangled web, with another $100,000 or so from co-op
members to the chief organiser of the cap site. See 100bain.com Search
for bain tv to see what I mean .
I assume you have high speed access - i'm @ 56k - so let me know if
your searches take as long as mine. If so , i'll stop suggesting stuff
like searching for Baintv and just get you the url. Thanks again ...

Alimalik--
I've looked over all the links you've provided and understand what
you're saying.
While I believe I answered your initial questions, I'd be happy to try
to help you further. Could you please tell me what information you'd
like to know?
I'm gathering you're looking for me to make a judgment as to whether
this is a scam. I can't legally make that kind of determination, as it
would appear as though I'm giving legal and commercial advice. Also, I
believe if I would say a business is operating a scam, that has
potentially libelous implications, if an expert comes out and
determines the company is operating legally.
Otherwise, I'd be happy to try to research any specific other
questions you have.
I look forward to hearing back from you again.

Alimalik--
I just had another thought. Do you know how this company solicits
business? If so, in what manner do they do this? And do they make
phone calls to consumers to get them to sign up?
Thanks,

Hi Darrel :
Thanks for your prompt responses.
I'm impressed that you've looked over the links i provided (5.12.02) -
but ,
sory, less than impressed by your belief that you have answered my
initial questions.
"To help me further", you ask that i tell you what info i'd like to
know.Please see my 20 Nov.post and 5 Nov. clarification.I repeat, does
the Google system let you see the reply from " denco-ga "? ( S/he sez
216.138.221.55 is a valid address.)
On 20 Nov. you wrote that it is not. Which is it - invalid, or Velocet
Communications ? ... and if Velocet ... who/how else ?
I repeat : my 20 Nov. questions.
#1. Valid # or not ?
#2. Thank you. Thought so .
#3. Clients and history of Syne-Post, aka toronto-movers , and now
c.o.b. as OpenNetServer. Can you, or anyone, search the web for
"clients" or url's or sites hosted by the server(s) operated by the
outfit ?
... telling me about Tucows ... puh leeze. I assume it's U$A 50, not
$CAN. gimmeabreak.
I am not asking you to "make a judgement as to whether this is a
scam."
I've read the terms of service - and i understand that "judges judge".
I have read and re-read every word i have written, and, i'm sorry,
but, i just cannot see or infer any such request or expectation.
Judges judge, and i'm seeking information.
Strange stuff f'shure - until last week, opennetservers.com linked to
"worldarterotica". Now, it's "justice network" . ( can't "prove" it -i
dunno how to operate the waybackmachine site...
ah well, and wtf - what i really want to get is a list of "sites"
presented to the world by the syne-post group of apparently
unincorporated company names.
Thanks again - a reply should get us to the $50 neighbourhood. (CDN @
least)
Looking forward to your reply ...
