I have an obituary from the new york times and a photograph of his
gravestone, but I am reluctant to post them as an answer until you
have seen and advised whether you accept the other question that I
have answered as proof that they did not have a middle name.

I accept your findings. I also have seen the deadball era photos and
have the NY Times obits for all the BB owners for whom I seek. I'm
just seeing if other tenacious researchers are better than me. I'm
insecure & often feel I've missed something somewhere.

Its always good to check, since I've already answered one of these.
I'll leave the floor open for my fellow researchers since it would
appear that you and I have followed similar paths in our quest to
answer the question.

Strategies are different, so maybe someone will approach it from a
different angle.

I have actually looked at every question you have posted and checked
them all and there is only one that I suspect may have a middle name
after all. Its the one were the W actually appears on his grave.

I've searched a panoply of reference works and looked at multiple
obits., no mention of a middle name. The NY Times obit. mentions that
his grandson a Powell Crosley, IV died in Vietnam. Considering that
this was a family name, it looks very much like Crosley never had a
middle name to begin with.

Hi luciaphile,
I always am grateful for anything at all you do for me,
whether you discover anything or not. There are 2 questions that I
would so love to find. Sports writer George Moreland & the 2nd wife of
Ty Cobb. I wouldn't suppose you could look into them sometime, could
you luciaphile? I don't even know how long I've been searching for
them.
