I am doing a german cultural project in college and my project is over
King Ludwig of Bavaria and his castles, Linderhof, Neuschwanstein and
Schloss Herrenchiemsee.  The castles now serve as tourism spots around
Germany.  I want some tourism statistics for those castles. ie. Their
popularity compared to other tourism hot spots in Germany, amount of
yearly tourism revenue brought into the local towns in the areas of
the castles and maybe some other interesting tourism statistics you
could find.
I've tried looking myself and all I'm finding are sites that are
advertising the tourism in Germany and they don't have any hard facts
about tourism. My group and I present the project on Friday, Nov. 22.

Like you, I couldn't find anything directly related to these castles,
but I did find  a .pdf page: Dates - Facts - Figures as of December
2001 from the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Transport and
Technology. This deals with touist statistics for Bavaria only. Would
that be a suitable answer for you?
