In each episode of his PBS series, Norm Abrams crafts a piece of fine
furniture or other woodworking project. Can these original pieces be

Hello, aamoy-ga.

I called the New Yankee Workshop (1-800-892-0110) and talked to
Susan. She said that they only sell plans and videos, and not the
products Norm creates. I asked if one could purchase the pieces he
creates from somewhere else but she said no, he doesn't sell them.

In spite of that, I searched the web and newsgroups, but didn't
find anything. If I had found someone claiming to sell Norm
Abrams originals, I would have been suspicious that the pieces
being sold were counterfeit, since the NYW says that Norm doesn't
sell his works.

Here is the page which has their phone number, fax number, and
mailing address:

I met Norm Abram a few years ago. He told me that at the most, only
three copies exist of any one piece of furniture that he built for the
New Yankee Workshop. Norm keeps the first piece. Russell Morash, the
producer, keeps the second. Once in a while a third copy is made,
which may go to a friend or is given to a PBS station for a
fundraiser. You might luck out and find one of those third pieces, but
the odds are pretty high.
