I am looking to purchase a black & white, lazer jet printer /fax
machine / copier / with scanner capabilities.  I currently have an
older Brother that has been great but it is so limited in memory that
it will no longer accomplish what I need to be done.  I have a Dell
Insperion (Windows 2000).  HP no longer sells the 3200 which seems to
be the last black and white lazer jet printer/fax around.  I can no
longer buy this new and HP wants almost $500 for a refurbished one. .
absolutely out of their minds.  I don't want or need color but I must
have the capability to send and receive on legal size paper.  What are
your suggestions for the most reliable printer / fax / copier /
scanner and where is the best place to buy it and the best price.  In
the very best of all worlds, it would also have a telephone hand set
but
this is not necessary.

I would like to stay under $500 to $600.  I would prefer new because
most printer/faxes that handle legal paper come from mortgage
companies where they receive very hard usage - many copies per day -
rate sheets.  I have not had the best of luck with refurbished but
perhaps.  This will be for my home office.  I have a mortgage company
and have a 3200 in my office.  It is thrashed by receiving upwards of
200 copies on a low-use day.  thanx for asking

Brother. I have an MFC-4650 myself, and have been happy with it. It is
reliable and inexpensive to operate.
