Question ID: 112178
where to get parts for a Hague H9000 water distiller. Company stopped
making the distiller about 10 -15 years ago and no longer carry parts.
Specifically I need a circuit breaker (Part No. C770A). I have a
manual which I have converted to a PDF file for emailing.

Hi,

Do you definitely want an original part or would you accept a part
from another manufacturer that had equivalent electrical properties?
In the latter case, could you post the specs of the circuit breaker?
The manual probably indicates them: "Operating voltage: X volts. Max
load: Y amps. Trip time: T seconds." etc.

If you elect to consider non-original components, understand that it
may be necessary to "jury-rig" the new circuit breaker into place,
though that should not be too hard an operation (may involve some
soldering).

Good luck,
smudgy.

I would likely be able to jury-rig something without much difficulty.
I did remove the part and it is a Therm-O-Disc bi-metal
thermostat/circuit breaker, model 60T24. It has a part number 611304.
I did look at the Therm-O-Disc web site and that model is no longer
listed, however they do have other 60T type units. The device is a
thermostat with a circuit breaker built in. The web site also shows
some "self resetting" units that would probably work better in this
application than the manual reset one that I now have.
