Best way to find a code to enter voice mail to retrieve messages.

If you've forgotten your password for your voicemail, your best bet to
retrieve it  would be to contact your provider's customer service
department.  They can typically re-set your password for you in about
a minute.

But what do you suggest if I don't want to retrieve it that way Missy?

To provide that information would essentialy be instructions on how to
hack the voicemail system, which would allow unauthorized persons
access.

Yes that is correct. Is it possible and how difficult?

If it is not hacking information you're looking for, but rather, you
have a legitimate need to access this voicemail without the owner's
knowledge or consent, you'll need to obtain a court order.  If you
provide your city and state, a Researcher will be able to locate the
relevant authorities to whom you'll need to apply, as well as
instructions for doing so.
